ABOUT US
Accidental Films is an independent film production company founded by Zhannat Alshanova. Our aim is to explore new narratives of Kazakh cinema and bring them to the worldwide audience. We are interested in unpredictable and challenging female characters, rich audio-visual landscapes and complex emotional stories.
ZHANNAT ALSHANOVA / WRITER, DIRECTOR, PRODUCER
Zhannat has written and directed several short films that played at Cannes, Sundance, TIFF, Locarno, etc. As a producer she worked on short films Birch (USA), Hangnail (Turkey) and as an Associate Producer on feature We are Thankful (South Africa).
